Rett and Taylor discuss motivation and a break through they made this week. They worked on a World War II sidescroller game together and Taylor crushed some bricks making his very own brick breaker game. They talk about his experience streaming and bug hunting, as well as Rett’s love of Shadow of The Colossus and The Last Guardian, and Taylor’s love of Age of Empires.
Shoutout to rockzom, manbeardgames, and AuroraCaelestis for hanging out on stream!
Taylor challenged Rett to do an hour of Gamedev twice this week and Rett challenged Taylor to think of ways to use his pixel art in games.
Taylor and Rett celebrate RB Whitaker’s C# tutorial and book, the C# Players Guide. They finished their podcast music! (Which you’ve enjoyed since day one). And they talk about the work they did on their console game, including rehashing their player’s beginning stat allocation, ASCII art, and the creation of their “slow typer” function.
This week comes a two-parter, Kane and Rett are joined by podcaster extraordinaire, Bentley Michaels, from The 45th Parallel podcast and Thinking Thoughts podcast, available on iTunes and Stitcher.
The guys vet Bentley with their usual hypotheticals. Then talk about podcasting. Jump into Star Wars. Bentley dazzles them with his mastery of the mouth by doing fun voices (and other things *wink*). They talk about stand-up comedy, and make a lot of dick sucking jokes.
To see more Bentley Michaels visit his website bentleymichaels.com and make sure to listen to his other podcasts.
This week Kane and Rett take a call from their good friend Tristan, and let him rant for a few minutes. Then the guys spend the rest of the episode prancing around shit that pissed them off, including current events in the U.S., and people’s dumb Facebook bullshit.
No one said they’re right, that’s why this show is called Duel of Taints!
This week Kane and Rett talk about a new podcast on Awesome! Internet Radio fronted by Kane, and is joined by Freddy, who joined us last week on Duel of Taints, and Sean O’Connell, making his airpodcast debut.
The show is called Thaddeus, and will be an examination of Kane, Freddy, and Sean’s life experiences. Look for it on iTunes and Stitcher soon.
Then Kane and Rett talk about the new Force Awaken’s teaser, go on a tangent about Star Wars, then discuss great T.V. shows.
Its episode ten of Duel of Taints and Kane is concerned about the way he looks and seeks Rett for comfort. They discuss why people can be so uptight sometimes. And they open up the mail bag and read some tweets from listeners.
Han Solo vs. Indiana Jones comes back into the forefront and threatens to rip Kane and Rett’s friendship to pieces.
They share about closing the curtain on a long time project, The Monster Addict. And wind things down by talking about Awesome! Internet Radio, and other podcast projects.
